Hello, Everybody!
Ed here with more news from the Mediterranean. Wow! What a crazy holiday week we had. But now that it's over, we'll be getting back to normal (almost). I say,"almost," because something out of the ordinary... something real special... is happening this week. Most of you have heard me say that I don't open on Sundays, because, if I do, my wife will divorce me. Well... no divorce in sight, but Edna IS going away this week. So we are planning a fantastic wine tasting and sale for THIS Sunday, April 18th, from 1 to 4PM. What makes this Marketplace tasting so special? At this time we will be presenting a three table tasting hosted by Ray Safer of Classic Wines, Tim Laskey of Carolina Wines, and Nino Giamei of M.S. Walker Co. For three hours, they will be sampling dozens of Bordeaux wines (mostly '05's) for your tasting and purchasing pleasure. I say, "purchasing pleasure," because we will not only have our usual half - and full - case discounts, but we shall also be offering an almost unheard of 25% off of purchases of two cases or more! '05 stocks are dwindling fast. Act now to assure yourself of availability of this fine vintage for years to come.

What's New At The Marketplace?

We are happy to announce the arrival of a fine addition to our selection of artisanal cheeses: a handmade organic triple cream cheese from the Champlain Valley Creamery of Vergennes, Vermont, available for only $5.99. Our search for new products that please the palate has also led us to two great new (to us) '05's: Chateau Martinens Margaux, and Chateau Boutisse St. Emilion, both of which will be included in this Sunday's tasting. I can't wait to see your reaction. I know you'll like them as much as we do.

And, as always, Thanks for shopping with us. -Ed
